Our Initiatives

Cardiovascular Health

We are deeply committed to advancing cardiovascular health by equipping communities with blood pressure monitoring machines and delivering life-saving education. We teach individuals how to properly measure their blood pressure, recognize the warning signs of hypertension, and take critical action in emergency situations. Through prevention and early intervention, we aim to reduce the burden of heart disease in vulnerable populations.

Education and Social Welfare

Through our education and social welfare initiatives, we empower both communities and professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive. We educate the public on critical health topics and provide students with essential school supplies, books, clothing, and bedding—laying the foundation for academic success and personal well-being. In addition, we offer training and educational resources to healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and other service providers to strengthen their capacity and enhance the quality of care and support they deliver. By investing in people at every level, we help build stronger, more resilient communities.

Maternal and Child Health

In the area of maternal and child health, we prioritize the safety, dignity, and well-being of mothers and their children. We provide essential supplies such as compression stockings, infant formula, diapers, clothing, and nutritious food. Additionally, we strengthen the capacity of hospitals offering maternal care by donating critical medical supplies including bed sheets, gloves, chuck pads, and more—ensuring a safer and more compassionate birthing environment.

Oral Health

To promote oral health, we supply toothbrushes, toothpaste, and host free dental clinics. Good oral hygiene is not a luxury—it’s a vital part of overall health, and we strive to make it accessible to all.

Nutrition

Our efforts to combat malnutrition include the procurement and distribution of nonperishable food items to orphanages and schools. By addressing hunger at its root, we are not only feeding bodies but also fueling futures—ensuring children can grow, learn, and thrive.

Diabetes

In the fight against diabetes, we donate glucometers and testing supplies to hospitals and individuals in need. We also lead community-based education on blood sugar monitoring, healthy dietary habits, and the role of physical activity in diabetes prevention and management. Our goal is to equip people with the tools they need to live healthier, longer lives.

ABOUT US >

Project +232 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity and improving quality of life in underserved communities, with a special focus on Sierra Leone and its diaspora. Founded in 2022, we have recently expanded our reach into the Washington Metropolitan area (Washington Dc, Maryland and Virginia) to serve local communities facing similar health disparities. Our mission is to bridge critical gaps in access to care through community-based programs that address heart health, oral care, maternal and child health, nutrition, safe sex education, and essential needs. We believe lasting change begins at the grassroots level—empowering individuals with knowledge, resources, and support to take charge of their health and future. Through education, outreach, and collaborative partnerships, Project +232 is building stronger, healthier communities—one initiative at a time.
